Join us for this weekend retreat with master weaver Liz Gipson, as she shares her lifetime of experience and the wonders of weaving with you! This is a wonderful opportunity to learn to warp, weave and follow patterns - all in one amazing weekend. This workshop is limited to 12 participants only.
Workshop fee for entire weekend: $275
You will need your own loom for this workshop weekend. We have 15" Cricket looms available for purchase at the shop ($195). The loom comes with an 8 dent. You will also need a pick up stick ($12.95) and a 10 dent ($42) for your entire weekend of weaving. Please be in touch to reserve your supplies!

Saturday, April 28, 10 am - 5 pm (with 1 hour break mid day for lunch)
Learn to warp, weave, and finish a project all in this fantastic one-day workshop!
Learn how to get those yarns on your loom (called “warping”), weave fabulous cloth, and finish your project all in a day! You will walk away with more than just a beautiful scarf, you will learn all the fundamentals of weaving well, including how to warp your loom in 20 minutes or less and how to fix the most common weaving mistakes!

- Yarn: One Skein Berroco Pima 100 to warp and 1 skein of Berroco Remix for weft. (Project requires 65 yards for warp and 45 yards for weft). We recommend high contrast colors.
- Tools: rigid-heddle loom with at least an 8" weaving width, 8-dent rigid heddle, 2 stick shuttles, tapestry needle, small embroidery
Stay with us on Saturday night for our Warping Party! Liz will help you warp your looms for Sunday's workshop and provide tons of useful tips and tricks for warping.
Sunday, April 29, 10 am - 5 pm (with 1 hour break mid day for lunch)
Think that plain weave is all you can do on a rigid-heddle loom? Meet the pick-up stick! With this simple tool you can create patterns galore. Learn how to make weft and warp floats and when and how to combine them. In this class you will weave a small scarf. This pattern is easily translated into all sort of
interiors and accessories. As a bonus you will learn hemstitching and embroidery stitch, two go-to finishes for weavers. As with all of Liz's classes, you aren't just learning how to make a beautiful object, you are learning the fundamentals to weaving well.
