Description

An ideal first sweater pattern, this cardigan is knit seamlessly from the top down. This pattern is sized from newborn through adult!

Three 2 hour classes

Materials:

To fit sizes: 0-6 mo (6-12 mo, 1-2 yrs, 2-4 yrs, 4-6 yrs, 6-8 yrs, 8-10 yrs, XS, S, S/M, M, M/L, L, XL, XXL, 3XL, 4XL) and finished chest measurement: 18 (19.5, 20.5, 22, 24, 26, 28, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 43, 47, 51, 55, 58) inches

  • 250 (350, 450, 500, 600, 700, 850, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800, 1900) yards worsted weight yarn. We recommend Neighborhood Fiber Co Studio Worsted or Hazel Knits Cadence

  • US#6 (4mm) 32" circular needles and double pointed needles

  • US#8 (5mm) 32" circular needles and double pointed needles or sized needed to obtain gauge*

  • stitch markers

  • darning needles

  • scrap yarn or stitch holders

  • Copy of Harvest Pattern by Tin Can Knits, available on Ravelry


Homework:

Please first prepare an accurate (blocked) gauge swatch. *Gauge is 18 sts and 26 rows/ 4” in stockinette stitch on larger needles. Please contact the shop for directions if you have never made a gauge swatch before. Cast on number of stitches for your size: ssing larger needles, CO 10 (10, 12, 12, 14, 14, 14, 14, 14, 16, 16, 16, 16, 18, 18, 20, 20) sts provisionally using the crochet chain provisional cast-on method.
Setup row (WS): p2, knit to end

Row 2 (WS): p2, knit to end
Work rows 1-2 a total of 39 (46, 49, 52, 49, 49, 49, 59, 57, 62, 59, 60, 58, 58, 64, 66, 70) times; creating the same number of garter ridges. This is a total of 79 (93, 99, 105, 99, 99, 99, 119, 115, 125, 119, 121, 117, 117, 129, 133, 141) rows worked, including the setup row. Your final row is a WS row.

Unless otherwise indicated, our classes are for adults only. Your registration is valid for the dates listed in the description and may not be transferred to other class dates.
