Increase your colorwork skills with these gorgeous doubled-sided mittens that incorporate a Latvian braid on the cuff.

Skills Needed:
This class is rated "uberchic" -- prior experience increasing and decreasing and working in the round required.
Previous colorwork experience strongly recommended.

- thumb gussets
- advanced colorwork charts
- tubular cast on

Materials:
- 2 skeins Brooklyn Tweed Loft or "sticky" fingering weight yarn (dominant color: 75 yards, background color: 145 yards)
- US #3 (3.25mm) double pointed needles or size required to get gauge
- US #1 (2.25mm) double pointed needles or two sizes smaller than gauge DPN
- stitch markers
- blunt tapestry needle
- waste yarn for holding thumb stitches
- copy of Burnham pattern available in print at the shop or online here.

*Gauge is 8 stitches and 8 rounds = 1" in stranded colorwork (worked in the round), after blocking.

Homework:

Please bring an accurate and blocked gauge swatch. Feel free to visit the shop for assistance in preparing and measuring your swatch.
