Learn the basics of crochet and learn to make an adorable blanket for baby or home! Begin a new craft or better your knitting technique by learning to crochet. *Please note that you will learn the skills necessary for the baby blanket but will not be able to complete the entire blanket during the two class sessions.

Two 1.5 hour classes

Absolutely none!

Skills Learned:

  • work a crochet chain

  • single crochet stitch

  • double crochet stitch

  • reading a crochet pattern

  • terms

  • basic fibre education



Materials:

  • 4-5 balls Berroco Remix or 5 skeins of Berroco Weekend or 1,000 yards of heavy worsted weight or aran weight yarn. (We have options ranging from $35-$45 total for yarn)

  • I (5.50mm) hook

  • 5 yards of ribbon

  • copy of Tiramisu blanket pattern found here or available at the shop

    • **If you wish to skip the blanket project, purchase just one skein of the suggested yarn above and make a quick wash cloth!

Preparation
Be sure to come to the shop early enough to have your supplies purchased and your yarn wound into balls before the start of class.
